At the end of August, Tecnogera participated in Brazil WindPower, an event that brought together national and international companies from the wind energy sector in Rio de Janeiro.
Tecnogera’s performance in the wind energy sector has been quite impressive.
To give you an idea, in the first half of 2017, the company reached the milestone of 2000 commissioned turbines, a significant number in a rapidly growing market.
The commissioning of wind turbines is carried out using load banks and tests on the power transmission network. “In this work, load banks help ensure the power generation capacity of the wind farm and the operation of the wind turbines, acting to prevent shutdowns due to system failures,” explains Abraham Curi, Director of Tecnogera.
For the company, participating in another edition of Brazil WindPower was an excellent opportunity to connect with clients, prospects, and exchange ideas with other industry players.
During the event, Tecnogera also welcomed very special visitors to its booth, such as the President of ABEEólica, Elbia Gannoum.
This year’s edition of Brazil WindPower featured a Conference and Business Fair, and over the three days of the event, the most relevant topics in the sector were discussed, such as new investments, as well as the growth of wind energy and its presence in the Brazilian energy matrix.
According to industry data, in 2016, Brazil ranked 5th in the world for expanding installed wind power capacity, behind only China, the United States, Germany, and India.
Currently, there are 457 wind farms in operation.
By 2020, another 287 parks are expected to start operating and generate more than seven gigawatts of energy.
