Mobilizing Partners and Fuel Reserves
As diesel is a crucial input for power generator operations, once the teams noticed the strike movement and its implications, the first step was to mobilize local partners and suppliers to support the operations of the most critical clients.
“We coordinated efforts in different cities, which included early fuel supply and the creation of a technical fuel reserve. With roads blocked, having the fuel wouldn’t help if we couldn’t get it to the client,” says Marcelo Yamane, Operations Director at Tecnogera.
Focus on Mission-Critical Operations
Isolated Systems in Acre
The main concern was maintaining operations in isolated projects, such as those Tecnogera runs in the cities of Assis Brasil and Manuel Urbano, both in the state of Acre. With a capacity of 2 MW each, the operation is responsible for serving over 20,000 residents, fully supplied by generator-provided power.
Importance of Reaction Time
“When working with mission-critical operations, reaction time in situations like a strike makes a significant difference. The involvement of the entire team and the support of partners and suppliers strengthened the reliability of our solutions,” concludes Yamane.
