The city of São Paulo is considered the capital of events. Small, large, or mega, they drive the city and attract millions of tourists every year to the São Paulo capital.
Data from the Tourism and Events Observatory, from the São Paulo Tourism Research and Studies Center, estimate that 90,000 events take place in the city per year, involving business fairs, conventions, shows, sports, corporate, and social events.
Proof of this is the numbers, in 2014 alone, more than 15 million tourists passed through the city.
However, the larger an event, the more complex it becomes. Perhaps the most delicate is ensuring the supply of electricity, as the entire structure of lighting, sound, and air conditioning needs to be guaranteed.
After all, events happen live, and a power interruption can compromise their success. Therefore, the use of temporary power is increasingly strategic in the event area.
Today, a good portion of venues, such as stadiums, racetracks, concert halls, and event pavilions already require organizers to hire temporary power.
On these occasions, with a significant increase in energy consumption, it is common for the utility company to be unable to supply.
On the other hand, the power supplied by generators ensures that, in the event of any supply failure, power is immediately restored.
Recently, during one of the largest sporting events on the planet held in Rio de Janeiro, 100% of the energy used at the event’s opening was temporary.
During the competition, temporary power was also present at the sports venues such as arenas, stadiums, and sports complexes. Without temporary power, the event would not have been possible.
