Tecnogera won the bid to supply temporary power to Petrobras, the largest oil company in Brazil and one of the largest in the world. The contract will last for three years, with the possibility of extending for another two, and will require, in addition to generator sets, cables, transfer panels, and other accessories for its complete implementation.
The goal is to meet, according to the state company’s demand, the oil company’s facilities located in 15 Brazilian states, distributed across the South, Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast regions.
Service modalities
The signed contract stipulates that the Petrobras plants covered by this contract will be served by Tecnogera’s generator sets when they need temporary power. According to the requirement, which can range from a power outage caused by a technical problem, scheduled maintenance shutdown, or operational support activity, the request will be directed to Tecnogera.
In practice, Petrobras’ operational units will request service from the state company’s contract oversight team, which, together with Tecnogera’s team, will evaluate the request and schedule the timeframe and equipment to be provided.
Partnership history
This is the second time Tecnogera has served Petrobras. In 2016 and 2017, the company also provided services to the state company in this same modality.
