The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) has just released its Monthly Trade Survey (PMC), which indicated a growth in retail sales in April after two years of decline.
The best performance was seen in the areas of clothing, construction materials, and home appliances.
Even though the growth was still modest, at 1.9% above the same period in 2016, and attributed to Easter and Mother’s Day sales, which also performed better due to withdrawals from inactive FGTS accounts, the increase was viewed optimistically by retailers and the supplier chain, which is positively impacted by the sector’s improvement.
For temporary power suppliers, the improvement in retail performance directly influences the demand for power generators, which are essential to ensure the extra consumption of the segment during peak periods.
Whether in street establishments, commercial corridors, or large developments like shopping centers, temporary power ensures more than just a lit store; it also preserves perishable goods and maintains air conditioning at the right temperature, essential factors for creating a favorable and safe environment for customers to shop.
Tecnogera has the newest and most modern generator fleet in the country, offering 24/7 service and highly qualified technical support.
