Energy security ensured during Copa Libertadores
Tecnogera, a company specializing in comprehensive temporary energy solutions, was responsible last night (15th) for the energy security of the entire Pacaembu Stadium during the match between Santos and Nacional (URU) for the Copa Libertadores. The football match gathered over 20,000 fans.
Reason for implementing the solution
The decision to adopt an energy security solution, using a set of generators, transformers, and a Ramp Transfer Switch (QTR), was made after a power outage during the match between Santos and Corinthians for the Campeonato Paulista, held on March 4th. On that occasion, the competition was halted for 49 minutes.
Technical solution implemented
The team of professionals from Tecnogera, in partnership with the Municipal Department of Sports and Leisure, designed a modern and comprehensive solution capable of providing power to the entire stadium. “If the power supplied by the utility company failed, the generators, operating in permanent parallel, would take over the supply without any disruption to the event,” explains Marcelo Yamane, Operations Director at Tecnogera.
Installed capacity
Tecnogera offered a total of 2,300 kVA, provided by three generators, while the venue’s requirement is only 550 kVA. “We opted for a higher potential alternative to cover any variable, from climatic factors to the slightest network instability. The result was a match without any power supply failure,” he celebrates.
