Generator rental for store
If the power goes out while the store is open, the rented generator keeps your cash registers, display windows, and air conditioning on.
Each generator we rent comes with an engineering project for your commercial operation. We serve street stores, large stores, and store chains with locations in various states.
- Keep cash registers and card machines selling during a power outage
- Request a free power calculation for your store
- Standardize generator service in all stores of your chain

Main applications of the generator in the store
In a power outage, the register stops selling and the store floor becomes dark and hot.
Registers and card machines
With the generator on, the registers continue recording sales and the card machines keep charging with the line formed.
Store systems
The inventory system, invoice issuance, internet, and cameras in your store remain online.
Showcase and store floor lighting
Your lit showcase shows that the store is open, and the illuminated floor allows customers to move around safely.
Air conditioning
On a busy store day, the air conditioning keeps customers on the floor and protects equipment from the heat.
Beverage refrigeration
Refrigerators and display cases remain cold, and you sell the cold drink the customer came for.

The more equipment your store keeps running during an outage, the larger the generator for the store.
Street store
The street store project usually covers registers, showcase, and refrigeration with lower power equipment.
Large store
Central air conditioning and lighting for a large floor require more generator power. If your store has parking, the lighting tower keeps the outdoor area lit at night.
Network of stores and retail with multiple locations
Each location in the network gets its own design because the neighborhood store and the large store consume differently.

How do we serve a retail network with 1,200 locations in 16 states?
A national retail network, with 1,200 locations in 16 states, sought the same emergency service in all stores.
The network required a timeframe of up to 4 hours between the call and service at the store.
Our team delivered an average timeframe of 2 hours, with equipment suited to the needs of each location.
In this contract, prompt service starts at 15 kVA, with the generator operating within 4 hours after the request.

Standardized service for store networks in various states
For the network with stores in various states, our units in all regions bring the generator to each location.
Your network’s service follows the same steps in each store:
- Our engineering calculates the power of each store at no cost before the proposal
- Our own logistics transports, installs, and performs the load test at the store
- The telemetry and 24-hour on-call service monitor the generator throughout the contract
How does the stand-by work in the store?
With the stand-by, your store regains power in a matter of seconds, without anyone needing to turn on the generator.
When the automatic transfer switch (ATS) detects a utility failure, it activates the generator and transfers the power.
This system also protects computers, card machines, and refrigerators from power surges and abrupt shutdowns.
Automatic transfer requires the installation of the ATS, according to the project and commercial proposal.
Special conditions for your store until 11/30

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a power generator for a store cost?
Each store receives a unique price, based on the power in kVA and the rental period. Fuel consumption and transportation to your store are also included. Our engineering team calculates the power at no cost before sending the proposal.
What is the generator power for a large store?
The power depends on what needs to stay on, such as registers, lighting, central air conditioning, and refrigeration. The fleet ranges from models up to 100 kVA to generator sets above 1,400 kVA. Our engineering team will recommend the right size for your store.
Does the generator turn on automatically when the power goes out in the store?
With stand-by, the automatic transfer switch activates the generator and restores power to the store in seconds. For this, the store needs the ATS installed according to the project and commercial proposal.
Does Tecnogera serve store networks in several states?
Yes, we have units in all regions of the country and serve networks with stores in several states. A retail network we serve has 1,200 locations in 16 states and an average service time of 2 hours.
