How do we protect Danone’s largest refrigerated distribution center?
Danone Alimentos was seeking supplementary power for the refrigerated distribution center, the largest the company has in the country.
Without refrigeration, the center would fail to meet the sanitary surveillance storage parameters for perishables.
We set up a standby system with a 1,400 kVA generator and a 3,200 amp transfer switch.
To connect the system to the center, we installed over 1,500 meters of cables under ducts.

How does the generator take over refrigeration with no one on site?
The generator takes over on its own because it is on standby, connected to your warehouse by an automatic transfer switch, the ATS.
In the event of a network failure or a scheduled shutdown, the ATS starts the generator and powers the compressors in seconds.
To have automatic transfer, your operation needs an ATS installed according to the project and commercial proposal.
Our own logistics delivers the generator from the nearest unit, installs it, and performs the load test at your warehouse.
During the contract, telemetry monitors the generator remotely, and our on-call service is available 24 hours, even at night.
How do we calculate the generator for your refrigeration?
We calculate the power based on your compressors, because each motor usually draws several times the normal current at startup.
If the generator is too small, this current can cause a voltage drop and hinder the compressor’s startup.
This calculation is provided at no cost before the proposal and considers the consumption of your chambers and the startup peak.
