NEED OF THE CLIENT
Move a large electric excavator, which produces 1,400 tons of iron ore per hour, over 4,500 meters. The highway crossing needed to be completed in no more than 40 minutes.

Large-scale machines demand high energy consumption and are part of an ultra-sized structure with large-scale production capacity, in this case for iron ore extraction. The company, a global leader in mining, has expertise in this type of operation but needed a partner to supply the necessary energy to move this machine, a CAT6040 equipped with a 1516.0 kW engine to move its 405 tons, with process agility and cost optimization. We offered a mobile substation, including 04 generators of 1,100 KVA, 01 transformer of 2,500 KVA at 7.2 KV, a protection cubicle, and low and medium voltage cables. These pieces of equipment were mounted on a truck and connected by a medium voltage cable as a power source to the electric excavator. In addition to the equipment, we mobilized our operations team to work alongside our client’s professionals.
